My lifelong passions include math and science, especially human biology; and children, from the perspectives of both parent and teacher. For the past decade, I have taught TAG and Enrichment at the elementary level in the Boulder Valley School District in addition to teaching Human Development. My years of working with children has certainly convinced me of the words of Chinese artist and activist Ai Weiwei: “Creativity is part of human nature. It can only be untaught.” Likewise, I believe children are natural scientists. I teach at Bixby because I love seeing its philosophy and its community in action, and sharing my love of human biology with such inquisitive and thoughtful students.
