I moved to Boulder from Chicago to attend the University of Colorado in 2008, and I fell in love with the mountains and the accompanying lifestyle. When I’m not at school, I am outside, most likely climbing up Boulder Canyon, hiking in the foothills, or going for a run around my neighborhood. On less active days, I enjoy reading, drawing or learning something new (currently I am studying Russian!). I joined the Bixby family when I was in college and began working in the after-care program. From there, I worked in the summer program and made my way to a full-time teacher in 2013. Having been here since the age of 20, I feel I truly have grown up at Bixby. As a teacher, I appreciate the freedom to develop and adapt my own curriculum to capture my students’ interests, and I enjoy having the time to genuinely converse with and get to know my students. On top of that, I feel lucky to work with people I trust and care for.
