I grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and developed a passion for caring for and helping others. After my undergraduate work, I found myself drawn to the mountains and sunshine. I have now been in Colorado for almost 9 years and believe it was the best decision I could have made. After almost a decade of working with preschool aged children, both in a daycare setting and as a nanny, I decided to go back to school. I recently graduated with a Masters in Social Work. I spent my last year of grad school interning with a preschool social worker in Jefferson County. I loved being able to combine the joy I get from working with kids with my new career path. I look forward to applying the skills and knowledge I gained while I prepare for the licensing exam and take a break from the fast-paced world of graduate school. In my free time I like to Jazzercise, hike, bike, do puzzles, watch shows/movies and spend quality time with my friends. I teach at Bixby because I value the community that exists among the staff, students, and parents.
