At Cornell University, I developed my lens to see the “unique individual in each of us” as I completed my degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Continuing on with my M. Ed at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst my experiences included everything from institutional care to working in some of the first inclusion-based classrooms. Working with children through a developmental framework, honoring the journey of each child, has always been my cornerstone. I have also been privileged to work as a teacher of gifted and talented students, and a general classroom teacher in grades 3 through 7. I am thrilled to join Bixby where I find direct commonality with the school’s mission and my belief emphasizing the “joy of learning” for all students while continuing to develop my “art of teaching.”
