Has your preschooler ever come home talking about speckled frogs? Or maybe you’re wondering what a ran sam sam or a bottle pop is? Has your child been sticking pretend bubble gum to themselves and shoveling trash out of your backyard? If so, then they’ve been having some fun with the many songs we share in the preschool! We love singing throughout the day, whether we’re in small groups during quiet time, waiting in line, with Ms. Danielle in music class, or joyfully belting out notes on the playground. We thought it would be nice to share some of these joyful songs so that families can join in the fun at home! Here are just ten of our favorites:

Bottle Pops
(Tap Clap Snap)
One bottle pop
Two bottle pops
Three bottle pops
Four bottle pops
Five bottle pops
Six bottle pops
Seven bottles of pop.

(Shoveling)
Don’t throw your trash in my backyard,
my backyard, my backyard.
Don’t Throw your trash in my backyard,
my backyard is full.

(Rolling Arms)
Of fish, and chips, and vinegar
vinegar, vinegar.
Fish and chips and vinegar,
vinegar and salt.

Pirate Song
When I was one, I sucked my thumb
The day I went to sea!
I hopped aboard on a pirate ship
and the captain said to me,
“We’re going this way, that way,
forward, and backway
over the Irish sea.
A cup of tea, for you and me,
that’s the life for me!”
Yarrrrrrrrrr!

When I was two, I tied my shoe…

When I was three, I climbed a tree…

When I was four, I shut the door…

When I was five, I learned to dive…

Ran Sam Sam
A ran sam sam
A ran sam sam
Gooly gooly gooly gooly gooly
Ran sam sam
A ran sam sam
A ran sam sam
Gooly gooly gooly gooly gooly
Ran sam sam
A roffy a roffy
Gooly gooly gooly gooly gooly
Ran sam sam
A roffy a roffy
Gooly gooly gooly gooly gooly
Ran sam sam

But I didn’t buy a lime.
I bought bubble gum!
Baroombaroomba bubble gum!

My mommy gave me a dollar
to go and buy a collar.
But I didn’t buy a collar.
I bought bubble gum!
Baroombaroomba bubble gum!

Sticky Sticky Bubble Gum

And I pull, and I pull, and I PULL!

Five green and speckled frogs,
sat on a speckled log,
eating the most delicious bugs.

where it was nice and cool,
now there are four green speckled frogs.
Glub Glub

(continue until there are none)
