I am excited to join Bixby this year as your first-ever School Counselor! I recently moved to Colorado from Indiana, where I was the School Counselor and Middle Division Director of Learning support for a K-8 independent school in Indianapolis. I am a licensed school counselor in Indiana and Colorado, and
I actively pursue professional development and continuing education opportunities to best support students, teachers, and families. As a school counselor, I partner with students, teachers, and families to provide wrap-around support for students. I believe that students are best supported when there is a strong relationship between school and home, where educators and families collaborate with the shared goal of supporting student learning, growth, and development.
I am originally from Indianapolis, IN, and moved to Colorado with my boyfriend and our dog Rocky to live closer to the mountains. In my free time, I enjoy yoga, playing with my dog, and spending time with family. I also enjoy hiking and traveling and climbed Mount. Kilimanjaro in 2019.
